Olympic fever hit Monkey Puzzle Tatsfield in August. Sparrows created their own Olympic pictures, learning the colour names and the shape ‘circle’. Robins created Olympic rings for our wall and participated in running races, basketball and egg & spoon races in the garden. The children made medals, choosing either glitter for 1st, silver foil for 2nd or dark paint for 3rd place – perhaps unsurprisingly all chose 1st place! They also made Olympic torches, using their hand print as the flame and adding a touch of glitter so it can shine all day long. Sparrows and Wrens also got in on the sports activities, with walking and crawling competitions!
August also had us running our first Monkey Puzzle Tatsfield Graduation Ceremony! Two of our ‘Robins’ will be starting Primary School in September and we were delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and wish them well for their futures.
