A Westerham nursery is celebrating getting top marks in its first ever Ofsted report.
The Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery in Church Hill, Tatsfield was judged to be outstanding in all areas when inspected on August 17.
There were four categories inspected, these include:
- Effectiveness of leadership and management
- Quality of teaching
- Learning and assessment
- Personal development, behaviour and welfare and Outcomes for children
The Ofsted Report states: “Staff provide a challenging and stimulating environment, and they consistently encourage children to lead their own play and learning.
“Children are extremely independent and enjoy a range of responsibilities. For example, they show extreme confidence in preparing their own snacks and enthusiastically wash up after snack from a very young age.
“Staff provide an excellent range of activities and learning opportunities. They have an exceptional understanding of children’s individual learning styles.
“The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and outdoors and assessed the impact this has on children’s care and learning.”
Jane Martin, nursery manager, said: “Monkey Puzzle Tatsfield is really quite a special place. We offer all round excellent childcare delivered by passionate staff who are prepared to go the extra mile for our children.
“We have high expectations of what our children can achieve and give them the support they need to reach their goals.”
