Monkey Puzzle Tatsfield is prominently situated on the busy Church Hill, on the fringe of the popular ‘village’ of Tatsfield, between Biggin Hill, Oxted and Westerham.
The nursery provides facilities for children aged from 3 months through to preschool age and is registered as GOOD with Ofsted.
We have dedicated rooms for our various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage. All of our facilities are designed to be accessible to every child. Alongside our dedicated rooms for Babies, Toddlers and Preschool children, Monkey Puzzle Tatsfield also offers several amazing outdoor spaces and gardens for the children to explore, including our own Forest School, run by our own fully qualified Forest School instructor.

Summer Fete ☀️
We had the pleasure of hosting our annual summer fete this morning with lots of fun activities for our children and their families including hook-a-duck 🦆, tombola, raffle, pottery, face painting, cake sale 🧁, candy floss, guess how many sweets 🍬 and lots of yummy food at our BBQ 🍗🍖

Water Play 💦
The whole nursery had lots of fun in the sun this morning engaging in water play using our cactus sprinkler, hose and water trays. Throughout the morning we ensured all kept cool and enjoyed themselves whilst doing so...🌵☀️

Ice Cream Parlour 🍧🍡🍨
Following on from last week when our pre-schoolers decided to create their own 'Ice Cream Parlour' in the garden, our practitioners extended the children's play ideas using a wide range of creative materials and resources (coloured tissue paper, cardboard, glue, tape and dried ingredients for our sprinkles) to create ice creams, cookies and doughnuts to use in their role play area. All of the pre-schoolers thoroughly enjoyed role playing using the cash register, play money and the 'food' items they had proudly made, using there imagination to guide their play. 🍦🍩🍪

Trip to the park. 🦆☀️ 🛝
The toddlers enjoyed a nice walk to the park, where they got to have fun and explore the swing and slide. They also went to visit the pond where they saw some ducks too!
They done lots of walking and running around that their little legs were tired, so they decided to get the bus back to nursery, just in time for tea. 🍕

Dinosaurs 🦖🦕
Our pre-schoolers have been looking at the different types of dinosaurs through engaging in a range of activities including dinosaur outline pasta pictures using their fine motor skills, an edible sensory tray using vegetables to represent the natural environment and a chocolate flavoured swamp for the dinosaurs to roll around in the ‘mud’. They also enjoyed taking part in a dinosaur physical movement game imitating the way dinosaurs walk, jump and roar! 🥦🥬
We extended this learning opportunity by setting up a washing station for the children to clean the dinosaurs, we all had great fun! 💦🧽🧴

Fun in the Garden ☀️
Our pre-schoolers have had great fun this week exploring the garden and all of its wonders...🎋
We captured lots of child initiated play including climbing trees, exploring transporting water using guttering and pipes, making water marks to decorate their own 'ice cream parlour' and much more!

The children enjoyed walking through the themed tray and exploring the feeling of the sand on their feet. They also explored the different objects and using them in different ways.
