Useful Information

Forest School Essentials

We will be outdoors all day, come rain or shine! No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing preparation!

To ensure our children are comfortable and prepared, please bring the items listed below to nursery each session, labelled with your child’s name and leave any valuables at home.

Please note: on days when there is any rain or drizzle, as we often encounter lots of mud on our way into the forest, we would ask you to drop the children off dressed in their waterproofs as we do need to leave on time and don’t want your child to get their clothes wet or muddy before we even start the day!

On sunny days, we ask you to apply a first layer of sunscreen before you drop your child off. We will then apply every 3-4 hours or as required. If you’d prefer to provide your own sunscreen just let the team know.

Kit Lists

Children will need a named water bottle and a backpack that is suitable for outdoors that your child can carry.
